Captivated

Welcome to the LifeKIDS Captivated Encounter.
 Ok 2 things before we get started;
1. Yes we have officially made LifeKIDS the name for our children's ministry as a whole.(Birth - 5th grade)
2. I purposely have not labeled this a training. I pray it would be so much more.  I pray you would encounter God and give or allow yourself the room to respond.  Invite Him into this time with you now, just be where you are

This is the picture God is stirring in my heart. Imagine families, this generation, captivated by the Spirit of God.  This is the season we are in.  I implore you to spend the next few minutes for the church and specifically your area of ministry. I pray your heart is open and expectant that God will meet you here. This is much more than a training. We desire to unite our spirit with the Spirit of God for this ministry. I pray you will be blessed to be a blessing by this experience.
In His love,
Kwan

After you watch this video, what are a couple of takeaways about who God is?

Can your takeaways be confirmed by Scripture?

If so, great ...you have just encountered a truth about God.

What do you do with that?

How does that truth affect you?

What is your response to this God you've encountered?

The journey we desire the kids to go on each week is summed up in two simple questions,

"Who is God and what is our response to Him."

Read Ezekiel 42:15-20.
"He measured it on the four sides; it had a wall all around, five hundred cubits long and five hundred wide, to seperate the holy areas from the common." Ezekiel 42:20 NKJV.
God is here too.

We crave the dramatic, the sensational. We get wrapped up in feelings. Forgive us Father for asking you to be more for us. You are enough. You are wisdom and you are love. Consume us with a passionate fire unquenched but by Living Water. When we see you in simplistic truth; no sensation, let us say "God you are beautiful." Let us respond in authentic worship. We crave your Spirit to move within us to reveal these things to us. Make us aware of the time. Give us grace to lead your children this way.  This is                                                   how we raise a generation that worships the Father in                                               spirit and in truth.

We don't want to pretend. We don't want to make the process of worship more important than the worship. Let our worship be genuine in what it is. Be that sensational or simplistic. Let us be authentic in response to how the Spirit moves.

Why does the worship team do so well to lead the congregation in worship? They are simply worshipping in response to God at that moment. This is what we must offer our children each time we set foot in any room we lead in; a chance to be lead to worship by our authentic response. What does this look like for each of you. I believe God will show us each time we make ourselves available and seek to worship Him. This is where we need to be to raise a generation that worships the Father in spirit and in truth.

What are a couple of takeaways from Ezekiel 42:20?
Let your response/reflection/meditation/worship be genuine; be it sensational or simplistic.

"The time is coming - indeed it is here - now when true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth.  The Father is looking for those that will worship Him that way." John 4:23 NLT

Please take a few moments to reflect, jot down any aha moments, journal what God is stirring in you, or simply respond in worship to Him right now for who He is.

Each time you serve, I pray that you come to worship the Father in spirit and in truth; desiring to see this generation captivated by the Spirit of God.

Thank you!
